These terms govern your use of Pluribus. Please read them before creating or using an account.
Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Pluribus. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and activity performed through your account. Do not impersonate another person or use Pluribus where prohibited by law.
Civic Information, Not Official Advice
Pluribus organizes information from government records and other cited sources for general informational purposes. It is not a government agency, legal adviser, election official, or substitute for an official election authority. Deadlines, polling locations, ballot eligibility, laws, and meeting details can change. Verify time-sensitive decisions with the linked official source.
AI-Assisted Content
Some summaries, translations, comparisons, and plain-language explanations are generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. They may be incomplete or mistaken. Pluribus provides source links and provenance so you can verify the underlying record. AI-generated content does not represent an endorsement of a candidate, party, policy, or viewpoint.
Profile Content and Feedback
Public comments and other public user posts are not available in version 1. You retain ownership of profile content, support messages, and other material you submit directly to Pluribus. You grant Pluribus a non-exclusive license to store and process that material only as needed to operate, support, and secure the service. Do not submit unlawful content, personal information without permission, spam, deceptive impersonation, or material that infringes another person’s rights.
Acceptable Use
Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls or rate limits, scrape private or personalized data, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, distribute malware, misuse civic data for unlawful targeting, or use the service to violate election, privacy, anti-discrimination, or other laws.
Our Content and Third-Party Sources
Pluribus owns its software, design, original text, and trademarks. Government records and third-party content remain subject to their respective terms and rights. Links to outside sites are provided for verification and convenience; Pluribus does not control those sites or guarantee their availability.
Optional Pluribus+ Subscription
Core ballot, representative, meeting, source, and contact information remains free. If Pluribus+ purchases are enabled, the App Store purchase sheet shows the applicable price, billing period, and any trial or offer before you confirm. An auto-renewable subscription renews unless you cancel it in your Apple subscription settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can restore eligible purchases in the app and manage or cancel through Apple. Apple handles App Store billing and refund requests. Deleting your Pluribus account does not by itself cancel an App Store subscription.
Availability and Disclaimer
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, complete geographic coverage, or that every source is current. Nothing in Pluribus guarantees voting eligibility, registration, ballot content, or an election outcome.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pluribus and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service or reliance on civic information. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations, so those limitations may not apply to you.
Suspension, Termination, and Changes
You may stop using Pluribus or delete your account at any time. We may suspend access for violations, security risks, or legal requirements. We may update these terms and will revise the date above; continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised terms.
